NEW HARP/HCBS Program at Huther Doyle...in partnership with Excellus!

HARP/HCBS Infrastructure Build Project!

The program launched on 4/1/19 and seeks to help people who have the Health and Recovery Plan coverage through Excellus by connecting them to an array of supportive activities known as Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

We are pleased to be initiating a cooperative endeavor with Excellus to encourage greater participation in helpful community-based services. Our team of 6 HCBS Staff can inform, educate, locate and connect people who have the Health and Recovery Plan coverage with these important and helpful services. Assistance with support, peer networking, job training and readiness and even family assistance is available for those who qualify.

Some people who are able to receive health care coverage through Medicaid may struggle with physical health, mental health or substance use issues. Sometimes there can be more than one challenge going on at the same time. It is not usually the best solution to wait until problems get worse and an emergency room visit is needed. Health and Recovery Plans are available through Managed Care Organizations such as Excellus to help achieve and maintain a long term optimal state of health for members while remaining in the community.
